how to play BLIP
Something pinged. Keep asking the world — weather, pins, chance — and it stays awake.
Start
- Tap start and walk the four-beat wizard.
- Allow location if you can — better cell, better pin.
- Hatch once for free. You land on the Bench with berries and a referral code.
The loop
- Feed — a real signed invoke for that type’s diet. Five receipts → evolve. Miss a day → sleep, never death.
- Scan — roster for your ~5 km cell. Weather is the base; pins unlock denser / rarer entries.
- Catch — pull a roster species onto the Bench.
- Gym — occupy a federation hub with a matching type and a live invoke.
Proof
Every hatch/scan stores a proof. Open /proof/… to rebuild the roster from the Sortes beta and verify the VRF.
House rules
- Closed dex — 80 species. No AI-made 81st.
- No loot boxes. Forge is free. Berries buy actions, not packs.
- No token. Hub 402 stays 402.
- Look mode is a webcam overlay — we do not fake AR.
- Hazard layers never spawn creatures.

- Bench
- Your home for creatures — feed, switch party, top up berries, mint eggs.
- Berries
- In-game ration for actions (feed/scan/catch/gym). House grant once/day. Paid packs only when USDC verify is live — never a fake shop.
- Hatch
- First creature from live weather + Sortes chance. Free once.
- Feed
- Spend berries on a real signed hub invoke matching the creature’s diet. 5 → evolve.
- Scan
- Ask for a roster in your ~5 km cell using weather and optional nearby pin.
- Catch
- Move a species from a scan roster onto your Bench.
- Cell
- Your ~5 km geohash neighborhood for spawn.
- Pin
- A real nearby ATLAS sensor. Unlocks denser / rarer roster entries. Empty pin ≠ empty world.
- Gym
- A federation hub. Occupy with a matching type + live invoke.
- Dex
- Closed library of 80 species. Seeing fills a hole; nobody adds an 81st.
- Proof
- Receipt for a hatch/scan. Rebuild roster or verify VRF so you don’t have to trust us.
- Sleep
- Miss a day of feeding → sleeps. Never dies.
- Evolve
- After five successful feeds the stage advances.
- Look
- Webcam overlay of your sculpt. Honest: no fake AR tracking.
- Forge
- Free MemeForge studio next door — stamp a picture. The living creature stays in BLIP.
- Egg
- Invite code friends can claim. Referral berries on both sides.
- Sortes
- Chance oracle (ECVRF). Same seed → same roster. Provable.
- Weather
- Global live weather read. Works even without a nearby pin.
