how to play PingBlip
Something pinged. Keep asking the world — weather, pins, chance — and it stays awake.
Start
- Tap start and walk the four-beat wizard.
- Allow location if you can — better cell, better pin.
- Hatch once for free. You land on the Bench with pips and a referral code.
The loop
- Feed — one live reading of that creature's kind, once every six hours. Five and the cast sets for good.
- Scan — roster for your ~5 km cell. Weather is the base; pins unlock denser / rarer entries.
- Catch — pull a roster species onto the Bench.
- Station — hold a real station with a creature whose intake matches what it puts out.
Install on Android
Samsung Internet can trigger an “older Android version” warning from Play Protect when installing PingBlip. Use an up-to-date Chrome to install it.
Open pingblip.com in Chrome, then tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen → Install. If the button does not open Chrome, open it manually or update it in Google Play.
Your progress stays in the browser where you played; switching to Chrome does not transfer it. You can keep playing here without installing.

Proof
Every hatch and every sweep is written down. Open it to rebuild the roster and check the draw yourself — nothing here asks you to take our word.
How it works →House rules
- Closed shelf — 80 species. No AI-made 81st.
- No loot boxes. Forge is free. Pips buy actions, not packs.
- No token. If the world will not answer, you are told so.
- Look mode is a webcam overlay — we do not fake AR.
- Hazard layers never spawn creatures.
Words you’ll see
- Bench
- Your home for creatures — feed, switch which one is out, take the daily pips, mint eggs.
- Pips
- Ration for feed/scan/catch/station. One free house grant per UTC day. No shop, no packs.
- Hatch
- Your first creature, drawn from live weather and one signed draw. Free, once.
- Feed
- Spend pips to fetch one live reading of the kind this creature lives on. One feed per six hours.
- Scan
- Ask what is around you — live weather, and any sensor near enough to matter.
- Catch
- Move a species from a scan roster onto your Bench.
- Cell
- Your neighbourhood, about 5 km across. Creatures are drawn for a place and an hour.
- Pin
- A real sensor near you. Having one nearby brings out rarer shapes. No sensor is not an empty world.
- Station
- A real machine on the network. Hold it with a creature whose food matches what the machine gives out.
- Shelf
- The closed library of 80 shapes. Seeing one fills its hole. The 81st is the only one you make yourself.
- Proof
- The written record of a hatch or a sweep. Rebuild the roster, or re-run the draw — so you never have to take our word.
- Sleep
- 36 hours without food → sleeps. Never dies.
- Evolve
- After five readings the cast sets for good. It does not grow; it stops being provisional.
- Look
- Webcam overlay of your sculpt. Honest: no fake AR tracking.
- Forge
- Free MemeForge studio next door — stamp a picture. The living creature stays in PingBlip.
- Egg
- Invite code friends can claim. Referral pips on both sides.
- Sortes
- The draw. Same place, same hour, same reading — same answer, every time, for anyone.
- Weather
- A live weather reading. Works anywhere, with or without a sensor nearby.
